Prof. Zhiwen Yu

BIO: Dr. Yu Zhiwen is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Computer Science, South China University of Technology. Dr. Yu mainly engages in research in the field of artificial intelligence, publishing over 200 academic papers, including 68 IEEE Transactions series papers and 105 SCI journal papers. He has won the Best Paper Award at international conferences for multiple papers and serves as the deputy editor in chief of the IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Systems international journal, as well as an editorial board member of the CCF journal Computer Applications. I have led and participated in more than 30 projects, including leading national fund key projects, excellent youth projects, general projects, and youth projects, as well as leading Guangdong Province Key R&D Program and Guangdong Province Outstanding Youth Science Fund. The related achievements have won the second prize of the Natural Science Award of the Chinese Computer Society and the second prize of the Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Natural Science Award of the Chinese Artificial Intelligence Society. Dr. Yu obtained his doctoral degree from the Department of Computer Science at City University of Hong Kong in 2008. He has served as a council member of the Chinese Computer Society (CCF) for two terms (2016-2023), an outstanding member of CCF, the former chairman of CCF YOCSEF Guangzhou, and a senior member of IEEE and ACM.
Dr. Yu's research has always focused on the research direction of "machine learning and data mining", aiming to design ensemble learning and width algorithms to solve various data bottleneck problems in data mining. He has carried out innovative research from four aspects: high-dimensional noisy data mining, class distribution imbalance data mining, information redundancy data mining, and mixed type data mining.

BIO: Dr. Jin is an associate professor in the School of Computer Science and Technology at the University of Science and Technology of China. His main research interestsinclude big data management, databases, andinformation retrieval.He is currently serving as an associate editor ofthe International Journal of Semantic Web and Information Systems and the International Journal of Knowledge Society Research. He has published more than 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals and conferences, including TKDE, TPDS, VLDB J., VLDB, ICDE, and WWW. Dr. Jin and his students have won two best paper awards, one best student paper award, and one best demo award.

Prof. Xin Xu

BIO: Xin Xu received the B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in computer science and engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China, in 2004 and 2012 respectively. He is currently a Full Professor with the School of Computer Science and Technology, Wuhan University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China. His research deals with image processing, computer vision, and deep learning. More specifically, his research areas focus on building a hierarchical person re-identification architecture including detection and recognition for nighttime surveillance scenarios. His publication was selected as the cover paper of the journal International Journal of Intelligent Systems in 2022. He was shortlist in the Best Paper Finalist of the IEEE International Conference on Multimedia and Expo (ICME) 2021.

Assoc. Prof. Mas Rina binti Mustaffa

BIO: Ts. Dr. Mas Rina Mustaffa is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Universiti Putra Malaysia. She received her PhD in Multimedia Systems from the Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2012. She is the editorial board of several journals including the International Journal of Advanced Computer Research (IJACR) and the Journal of Information System and Technology Management (JISTM). She served as a Guest Editor for the MJCS Special Issue 2/2021: “Information Retrieval and Knowledge Management, 2022. She also has been actively involved in many international conferences as organising and technical program committee. She has authored and co-authored more than 60 publications in journals, book chapters, and proceedings and presented at many conferences as keynote / invited speakers and paper presenters. She also has been granted a few copyrights, won several medals at research exhibitions, and received few awards related to research. She is also the project leader and co-researcher of several local grants. Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Mas Rina is a Senior Member of IEEE, Technologist of MBOT, Vice President of PECAMP Malaysia, and member of ACM and IACSIT.

Assoc. Prof. Kaixiang Yang

BIO: Dr. Yang Kaixiang is currently an associate professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Computer Science and Engineering, South China University of Technology. He mainly engages in machine learning and data mining research, focusing on the analysis and application of complex multi-source heterogeneous data. The research results have been published in IEEE TNNLS, TKDE, TII, TSMC-A, AAAI and other important international journals and conferences in nearly 50 papers. More than 15 invention patents have been applied for/authorized. He has served as guest editorial board member of several SCI journals, and was awarded the ACM Guangzhou Rising Star Award, the second prize of CCF Natural Science, and the second prize of Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Award. He serves as a member of the Artificial Intelligence and Pattern Recognition Committee of the Chinese Computer Society and the ADPRL Committee of the Chinese Automation Society. Presided over National Natural Science Foundation projects, State Key Laboratory projects, provincial key project projects, etc., and participated in key research and development programs of the Ministry of Science and Technology, key national foundation joint projects, etc. as a research backbone.

Assoc. Prof. Xiao Wang

BIO: Wang Xiao graduated from the National Multimedia Software Engineering Technology Research Center of Wuhan University with a doctoral degree in Communication and Information Systems. He is currently an associate professor at Wuhan University of Science and Technology and has been selected for the "Fragrant Tao Hundred Talents" program and the "Chu Tian Scholars" talent program in Hubei Province. We have been committed to research in the fields of computer vision and surveillance video analysis. Published over 30 academic papers in important international and domestic journals and conferences in this field, including 21 first author/corresponding author articles, 5 IEEE/ACM Trans journals, 6 A-class papers recommended by CCF, and 6 B-class papers. Served as a reviewer for international journals and conferences such as TIP, TCSVT, TRIT, AAAI, MM, etc.

Prof. Lu Leng

BIO: Prof. Lu Leng Formerly served as a professor in the Department of Data Science and Technology at the School of Software, Nanchang University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, a member of the academic committee, and the party branch secretary of the graduate team in Computer Vision and Image Processing (November 2021). Served as a review expert for the National Natural Science Foundation of China and over 40 international SCI journals, organized international seminars on safety biometric technology and intelligent media technology for public safety, and served as the conference chairman; Members of societies such as IEEE, ACM, CCF, etc. His research areas include biometric recognition and authentication (palm print, palm vein, face, etc.), biometric template protection, computer vision, etc.

Prof. Hui Yuan

BIO: Yuan Hui, Ph.D., Professor (Exceptional)/Doctoral Supervisor at Shandong University, IEEE Senior Member, Member of the Audio/Video Systems and Signal Processing (AVS) Technical Committee of the IEEE Consumer Technology Society, Member of the Technical Committee of the Asia Pacific Signal Processing Association, Senior Member of the Chinese Electronics Society, Member of the Young Scientists Club, Senior Member of the Chinese Society of Image Graphics, and Deputy Secretary General of the Youth Working Committee. He Selected for the EU Curie Scholar Program in 2019 (Marie Sk) ł Odowska Curie Individual Fellowship), and went to the UK De Montfort University and Germany Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute (HHI) to engage in research. In December 2020, he was selected as a young expert of "Mount Taishan Scholars" in Shandong Province. He was awarded the IEEE ICME2020 Outstanding Area Chair Award. His application for "Curie Scholar" was also awarded the Sea of Excellence Award by the European Union in 2019. He mainly engaged in research on intelligent compression, processing analysis, and reliable transmission of 3D visual media (3D video, 3D point cloud, 3D mesh, light field, etc.).
